Valentines Day is just around the corner, and it seems to have silently crept up on us! I’m sure many of you are planning or have already planned romantic dinners, maybe a fun night out with friends or a cosy evening at home, however you’re choosing to celebrate love, I have got you covered with making sure you are feeling your best. This has given me the perfect excuse to browse across the internet to help find outfits that will make you feel confident as well as stylish. You don’t even have to be celebrating Valentines Day to see what I recommend. Sometimes it just feels nice to dress up and make yourself feel great as if you’re like me, I just live in my comfies which is usually some type of leggings and oversized t-shirt, which is fine until I look in the mirror and realise I look like an actual potato. Working from home definitely doesn’t help you make an effort! So if you want something fun and flirty and a range that fits all different budgets, you’re in luck!
New Look Burgundy Lace Insert Mini Smock Dress – £32.99
First up, we have this beautiful New Look smock dress, and I think this style of dress is my favourite style. It’s perfect if you are going out for a meal and don’t want to feel uncomfortable or for dancing the night away. I love how dainty this dress is and the pleats at the bottom, giving it more of a floaty finish. The sleeves for me are a highlight. They are delicately pinched in again, giving you the lovely floaty fabric falling around your wrists. The added lace inserts are also a staple to turning this dress into something less plain. I think the lace, along with the pinched in cuffed elasticated sleeves, gives this dress a more bohemian look, and it’s not something that you’re going to wear just once. I also think the colour is perfect for someone like me who tends to stick to black. If you wanted to stick to a darker colour pallet, then this is perfect for just that. I also really like how they have on the model paired the dress with some long boots giving the right amount of balance.
Chelsea Peers Pink Satin Heart Pocket Stripe Print Long Pyjamas Set – £58
I couldn’t not include these very cute Chelsea Peers pyjamas. Popular in their own right, it’s hardly a surprise that they are selling out quickly! These are perfect for a cosy night in hosting friends. I love the stand-out pink heart pockets, and yes, you’ve read right. Those are pockets. The bold pink and white stripes make them look playful and fun along with the bright and colourful piping. The trims are also beautifully finished. These pyjamas are made from recycled polyester satin, which means they will feel lovely and soft on your skin as well as warm while we are still in those colder months. I actually think these would also make a lovely gift for a loved one, or if you are doing Galentines with friends, they are ideal. You can’t go wrong with Chelsea Peers. All you ever hear is how they are the best pyjamas anyone has ever owned and just positives. I may have to look at getting some myself! Sadly, though, there aren’t many sizes left, so if you do want them, fingers crossed, it’s your size that’s there as they seem to be sold out everywhere!
PLT Premium Black Bandeau Puff Ball Dress – £50
We next have this gorgeous black puff ball dress. I am really loving the puff ball style at the moment. I think it’s really cute, and I love the bunched up effect creating these chunky ruffles. The bandeau style corset is perfect for showing your neckline off and provides a very flattering cut. Another thing I like about the corset is how it cinches you in all the right places highlighting your figure. In a way, it gives me Audrey Hepburn vibes, as the silhouette along with the colour is very classic glam. I also admire how they’ve put this outfit together as well, with tights and a simple pair of ankle strapped heels, sometimes less really is more. With the dress being black, though, it makes it very versatile therefore, you can mix and match with any other coloured accessories and shoes. This makes the perfect outfit for a meal or for a girls night out, but whatever the occasion, you will for sure feel your best. I also think the price is very reasonable for what you’re getting.
ASOS DESIGN Dropped Waist Sweat Dress With Lace Oversized Collar In Grey – £34

Something casual but still smart is the super cute dress from ASOS. First of all, I really love the light grey colour, and the fact that it is sweatshirt fabric making this soft, warm, and comfy. Another feature of the dress I like is the oversized collar. With the white lace frilly trim, it turns the dress into that little bit more girly, as well as making it look less plain. The dropped waist is also a plus with the longer top falling into the pleated skirt like the bottom. This is such a lovely dress for like a day date, perhaps lunch or a walk somewhere nice. I do like how ASOS have styled it with the white high rise boots however if you really wanted to dress it down, or be even more comfortable, trainers would still look cute with a shoulder bag and minimal jewellery. You don’t need anything around the neckline as the oversized collar does the talking. At £34 I feel this is an absolute steal, and it’s something you can get plenty of wear out over the colder months, too.
Oh Polly Embellished Heart Cup Detail Mini Dress in Black – £70
Nothing more says Valentines Day than a dress with hearts. This stunning dress also comes in a baby pink version as well, and both are currently in the sale, so at the moment, the black version as pictured is actually £63! I think we are all in agreement that the heart-shaped cups are the main attraction to this dress. I love the sparkles but also how secure the hearts are due to the clasp at the back, which acts like a normal bra. This means you don’t need to worry about being done for indecent exposure, haha. For extra security, you also have adjustable straps. Speaking of the straps, I love the multi strap detailing. It’s not like anything I’ve seen before. With the dress being bodycon as well, it really shows your body’s silhouette, and you’re bound to feel sexy and confident in this. This is perfect for a singles night out with the girls where you can let your hair down. It’s a really fun dress, and make sure you check out the pastel pink, which is equally just as nice!
What are your plans for Valentines Day?
