Jealousy is often mistaken for love, but there is a difference between feeling jealous and using jealousy to control someone. What started with accusations over where I looked and who I laughed with gradually became monitoring, constant messages, isolation and changing my own behaviour to avoid his reactions. This is what control looked like in my relationship.
