Hello everyone! I hope you all had a good Halloween, whatever you got up too. I went out for a little bit walking around with my little sister trick or treating, and then came back and watched Most Haunted Live. Speaking of Most Haunted, I was very dissapointed when I woke up this morning, to find that there was a few videos flying around, showing that the things that were shown on TV last night could have been fake. I don’t know what to believe now. Anyways on Saturday 24th I went to Hinchingbrooke House for a horror night. I knew it was a bad idea from the moment we got there. Horror at Hinchingbrooke House is a maze that you go around. It starts in the evening and your in the maze for about an hour. You go in groups of 10-12, we were a group of 7 and then a group of 5 lads went in with us too. You have various different rooms you go in, you get no help in this, you have to find your way yourself. Then different characters will pop up out of nowhere, clowns, saw characters, zombies, crazy people with axes and chainsaws, that chase after you. Just to put it out there I DON’T LIKE CLOWNS!!! The first few clowns we saw I could tolerate, they were just standing still, we went through rooms of hanging bodies we had to get past, strobe lighting and smoke, that was fine. I was screaming my head off but it was fine. Then we went outside to the forest and this is when it all went wrong.
We went through another maze and my worst nightmare was facing me. There was a clown with an axe. I just froze and my legs were like jelly, I’m so thankful to the lads that were with us because they formed a barrier around me so the clown couldn’t come near me, little did I know there was another one around the corner with a chainsaw. It’s kind of funny now but at the time I just burst out crying and then I almost has a panic attack, people were trying to calm me down, it just wasn’t a nice situation. However I’m not ending this post on a downer. The rest of it was hilarious, very realistic, the makeup, effects and costumes, were all amazing! I would just think twice about going if you don’t like clowns as much as me. I think the reason, the clown situation was so bad for me was because I’ve never been in a situation with a clown facing me, especially with an axe and chainsaw haha. I think everyone should try this though as it is quite funny. Highlight of my night? I heard a chainsaw and I always said to my boyfriend if I see a chainsaw then I will run for my life and so I did, dragging my boyfriends wrist with me, to then found out it wasn’t my boyfriend, it was one of the lads from the other group! How embarrassing!
This event is now over, however apparently they are doing one next February, so get yourself booked in for that. I didn’t take any pictures or videos, mainly because it was so dark and I was just concentrating on what was going to pop out, so these pictures are not my own. A 10/10 experience!
Has anyone else done something like this?
