I so wanted to see this when it came out, for ages and ages! Then I kept going on about it to my boyfriend when it came out on DVD, but I didn’t want to get it, in case I got it for Christmas. Turns out that was the right choice, because I did get it for Christmas. I know a lot of you probably have already seen this, but I still wanted to review it, as I haven’t seen it yet.

Pitch Perfect 2 is a follow-up from Pitch Perfect, 3 years on. After getting banned, after a scandal that threatens their last year at Barden, they worry that they’ve lost their harmony for good. However they have one last shot at redeeming their legacy, by trying to win the World Championships. With some people’s heads and hearts, being somewhere else, this is proven a struggle. It will have to take the power of sisterhood, to become the world’s top pitchers.

I didn’t think it was possible to top off Pitch Perfect, but this is utterly brilliant. Other than this being laugh out loud hilarious, I also loved seeing the returning faces of all those from the previous first film. Not only that, but the brilliant mash ups that they keep coming up with. I also liked that there was a better storyline with this one. You had one main one and a few smaller ones bouncing off from that. Another thing I liked was that there was more singing, which I love, because I really enjoy seeing the things that the different groups come up with.

There wasn’t really anything I didn’t like, as I was pleasantly surprised that this was even better than the first. The only thing was that you saw less of the boys. It would of been nice to hear more from, more of what they’ve been up to, rather than just focusing on the girls. I loved it though and I cannot wait for next year, when the third one comes out!
