With it now being July and the warmer weather is (kind of!)) here, people are going on holiday, going to the beach, and so I thought lets have a look to see what swimwear finds I can share with the blog. From experience, I feel for me finding swimwear is quite a difficult task. I think because it’s the item of clothing I’m most fussy with. I’m sure I’m not alone when I say you want to feel as best as you can and comfortable when it comes to what you will be wearing. Even though it may just be to make us feel nice on the walk to the pool or the sea, (because lets face it, when we are in the water you can’t see much) it still helps when you are wearing something that shows off your silhouette. Whether it’s a flattering one piece, a bikini, something high waisted or long sleeved, there is so many different styles out there to make sure you are feeling your confident self. Ready to look no further, lets get on with sharing my favourite swimwear picks. I’ve got you covered.
River Island Black Bow Bandeau Bikini – £46
River Island really made my job hard with choosing which design to share here, but I would really recommend checking their website as there’s so many great designs but also really beautiful beach dresses to choose from too. Some designs you can even choose from whether to have low rise or high waisted bikini bottoms. I really love this design, it’s simple yet elegant. The bow bandeau top is what really captured my eye as it’s a gorgeous cut. The detachable straps are a big plus as the overall look works so well with and without them, but just gives you that security if you want it, especially if you are going down any slides. I can’t be the only one it’s happened to when you’ve gone down and the force has took your top down too, haha. I was literally sat at the bottom shouting “mum help, mum help!” I also really love the ruched detailing on the briefs and the fact that they are high wasted as this design accentuates your curves. 100/10!
Next Plunge Tummy Shaping Control Swimsuit – £40
I really love the different shades of blue mixed with the sand colour in this abstract print. The colours work really well together and gold accessories would match beautifully for a day at the beach. The overall cut of the swimsuit is really nice and perfect for so many different shapes and whether your tall or short, the high leg is really going to show off your legs no matter the length of your legs. The slit in the neckline is also something worth talking about as it just adds a little bit more detail without showing much more skin. It’s also worth noting that this is a tummy shaping control swimsuit and the fabric provides protection against solar ultraviolet radiation. The fabric has been given a UPF rating of 50+ which blocks more than 97.5% of UV rays in covered areas. How good is that?! They also cater this swimsuit for those who are petite and for those who are taller. This is great as it means you can now have the swimsuit you want, rather than the days where stores used to have very small collections for those of us who were in these ranges!
Boux Avenue Fiji frill gingham balconette bikini – £52
How stunning is this bikini?! They do this set in two different colours, we have it in the red which is the one pictured, but also a lovely peach colour too, but what I really want to talk about is the straps. I adore that there is 2 sets of straps. We have the adjustable shoulder ones, but we also have these really cute off the shoulder ones too, which just adds another element to the overall look. The gingham print is bang on trend, also very retro, and the frills make it super girly. I really like the balconette shape, which is flattering for whatever size boobs you have and I appreciate the fact that the top is done on bra size. It can be difficult getting bikini tops sometimes as buying your normal dress size doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s going to fit your chest, so being able to buy your bra size means that the tops are going to be nice and fitted. They also do the briefs in a high waisted version which are just as cute and I love how companies are giving you more options for bottoms.
Pour Moi Beach Bound High Neck Swimsuit – £45
I’ve never heard of Pour Moi before but I’m glad I found them as they do so much on there website other than swimwear, with lots of different styles and at reasonable prices. As this is a swimwear post though, we are going to be talking about this gorgeous swimsuit. A high neck is one of my favourite styles when it comes to everything top wise. I just find the halter neck neckline really flattering and it brings out the shape of your shoulders more. Another detail I love is the mesh paneling, especially the strips around the body, as it’s very flattering and this style of swimsuit is great for showing off the silhouette of your body. I must also mention that this swimsuit has a secret shelf for support and molded pads, giving you the security you want for swimming and soaking up the sun in. I really recommend checking the electric blue version, it’s just as stunning!
Accessorize Long Sleeve Panel Swimsuit – £45
Next I have something slightly different for those of you who would prefer something with long sleeves, which is perfect for keeping the sun off your arms and shoulders. I love the colourful, playful paneling on the sides that go all the way up to the armpit, the cuffs around the wrists, and also around the outline of the zip, and yes, you’re reading that correctly, it is a zip! The panels are great for flaunting your curves and for giving you a cinched in look. As well as the front, I like how the design carries on around to the back too. The zip fastening makes it very easy to get on and off but also you don’t have to wear it all the way to the top, you could have it down a little bit to show off a bit more neckline. I think what’s nice about this is if you are someone who enjoys water sports, you don’t have to have a boring swimsuit. The colours make this go from plain and simple, to fun and quirky. It’s hardly a surprise as to why this piece is selling out in multiple sizes.
ASOS DESIGN mix and match moulded twist bandeau bikini in animal daisy print – £36
I really love the design of this bikini. The daisies overlayed on the different shades of green is beautiful, I like how spread out they are as well with the pattern covering all of the material. I would have never of thought to put daisies on top of animal print, but it works so well and stands out from the rest of them. The twist in the bikini top is a lovely finishing touch and makes it not such a straight band but gives more shape around the chest area. The top is just a pull on as well, no fiddling about with clasps or ties, especially when it comes to sunbathing. However if you did want something with straps on in this print, they have an option for that as well which is just as stunning. The briefs are a high waisted Brazilian cut, which are great for giving shape around the bum area. If you are looking for swimwear that says summer all over it, then this is definitely an option for you. I don’t think it can get much more summery than this design.
George at Asda White Crochet Gathered Front Swimsuit – £18
Crochet is one of the hottest trends at the moment, so there was no surprise when I found this cute little number and what a price as well. I love the amount of detail within the crochet and the bow fastening at the front with the beads is a lovely little touch. Another great feature is the detachable straps, giving you the option to change up your look throughout the day. I feel like if you had a hen party abroad coming up or a white party, then this would be perfect for that. You don’t have to have an occasion though, the swimsuit is very versatile for all your beach and pool needs there’s no doubt about it. The price is amazing too. For me this swimsuit looks more expensive than what it is, and I think it’s an absolute steal, it’s a good one to finish this post on!
Which design is your favourite?
