Hey Guys! So last Saturday, I went to go and see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This was my choice, and I was so excited, I’ve been wanting to see this for aaaaages! If I’m honest, I don’t know who wouldn’t want to see this film?! I think I’m turning into a film freak. Oh dear. However I am having a chilled weekend this week. Anyways here is my honest opinion on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles..

Over New York City, darkness has settled. Shredder and his evil foot clan, have an iron grip on everything, from police to politicians. With Shredder and his foot clan, the future for New York, is looking dull and grey. This is until four brothers rise from the sewers, and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The turtles must work together with April, (a reporter) and her cameraman, to save the city and to find out what Shredder is really up to.

I had no idea that Johnny Knoxville is in this. He plays the voice of Leonardo. I think this has done him some favour, usually he is known for doing dumb and silly things but with this you can take him seriously as an actor, it just goes to show how versatile he is, and I don’t know if we will, but there could be a little chance that we could see him in some films like this to come, however I have this slight feeling this could just be a one off. Megan Fox an actor who is usually in trouble, in films, is actually a bit of a hero in this one. You see more of a maturer actor here and I think this is probably her first big film, since the transformers, we will probably see her in many more action films to come.

What I liked about this film was how funny it was! The actors of the turtles really worked well together, if they didn’t have such a connection, then it wouldn’t of worked, but it did, they made it really entertaining. The effects were brilliant, well worth watching in 3D. It is mainly  the fighting that is in 3D, so if a turtle does a high kick, then it will come at you, so this was good. Some of the use of scenery is good too, I like the fact the turtles home is in a sewer, this was really creative.

What I didn’t like about the film was, there was quite a lot of noticeable advertising from Pizza Hut. The thing that’s frustrating about advertising is once you’ve noticed it, you notice it throughout the film. It was also frustrating on the amount of time they spent on Megan Fox and there was a few zoom ins of her bum. The turtles were also flirting with her, I think they focused quite a bit on Megan Fox . When you’ve come to see the ninja turtles, it’s a bit diss appointing when you see a lot more of Megan Fox. Lastly I think this film needed more attention and more time. It definitely needed more time on the turtles.

Overall the film is good but it could of been better. I feel because this film was such a big deal to fans who like teenage mutant ninja turtles, the directors rushed a bit to get a finished product. With a bit more time, this film could of been a 10/10.

Rating: 8.5/10
