March Favourites

I know it’s a few days into April but I thought a march favourites was needed. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers do these, and they look really fun to do, so I thought I’d give it a go. Over the past month I have collected a list of things that I’ve really liked. This is my first time in doing this, so if you like it, I shall do one for April as well.

I received these Ted Baker earrings as a present at Christmas. I cannot stop wearing them. I love the baby pink colour with the gold border. They are just so simple yet really pretty. They look like buttons, I don’t know if they are meant too but I like the design anyhow. I literally wear these everyday and I love them so so much. They look really pretty especially with your hair up and them on show. 

I haven’t read in ages and so I thought I’d dig into my book stash, and read one of my books that I’ve not read before. I’m a quarter of the way through this book and I’m hooked. When I’ve finished it,  not entirely sure when that will be, but I shall do a book review and go more into detail about it. I love the characters and how each one has a different story and I can’t wait to read more.

Something I’ve had twice this month is banana split. It tastes so good! I’ve never had one before and I must say it has become one of my favourite deserts. They do the best ones at brewers fayre. It’s such a nice sweet treat and it’s probably really easy to make at home, just wouldn’t want to make a habit of it, too many calories! What made me try it was the fact that firstly, I wanted to try out something new and secondly I tried a bit of my boyfriends the last time we went to have dinner there, and decided that I really liked it. I’ve been missing out for so long! 

Some of you may of seen these monochrome ankle boots, in a haul this month. If you have, then you will know that I absolutely love them. They add height, which gives the illusion of your legs looking longer and slightly slimmer. They are really easy to walk in. In fact all wedges are easy to walk in. They are so so comfy, I can walk in these all day. With the white bottoms, these boots can help make black on an outfit look good and help break the colour down a little. I almost didn’t have these as well. I hate trying things on and with shoes I know what size I am, so I got a 3. When I got home and put them on, I noticed the zips wouldn’t go up, so the first time ever in years, I had  to return them and get the size up. They only had two whole pairs left as they were getting ready for there new stock. One pair was luckily a size 4! Phew!

I love the shades of this O.P.I fifty shades of grey themed nail polishes. I usually go for silver nail polishes but I don’t think I’ve ever had grey. My favourite has to be “my silk tie”. I love the names of each of the six polishes. They all represent something from fifty shades. I have also found a new love for O.P.I. The brushes are really good and not clumpy. This then can easily spread out on the nail. I love that you can apply this on thinly and it doesn’t apply in blobs. These are the quickest drying nail polishes I’ve had too. I shall be doing a review on these pretty soon.

My favourite lipstick shade at the moment is this Rimmel Long Last Finish Amethyst Shimmer. You get a really good lipstick for an excellent price. It’s such a bright and beautiful shade. The staying power is really good, not as long as 8 hours but it’s close. I don’t really wear bright coloured lipsticks, they’more natural toned ones, however I will be branching out now, and experiencing some new shades. Sometimes I find that bright lips can make me look really washed out especially red tones, however this one doesn’t, and it makes your teeth look whiter too. I love Rimmel makeup, I’m sure most of you know by now, it’s so good for makeup on a budget, but still of high quality.
