I’m sure I’m probably one of the last to have seen this film, but yesterday my boyfriend and I, decided to go to watch a film since it has been a few weeks. Trainwreck is one that I haven’t seen advertised a lot and so we decided to give the film a chance and go with a completely open mind.
Trainwreck is about a woman, Amy, who since she was little was told and told that monogamy isn’t realistic. As she’s grown up she’s stuck by this and works as a magazine writer following this moto. Having many one night stands she falls into a rut when she lands an assignment, where she finds herself interviewing a sports doctor and finds herself in a scary situation of falling for him. Amy then has to work out for herself whether her moto is the way to live by and whether to leave it in the past or to keep on living by it.
Trainwreck is hilarious and definitely one for the film collection, the audience was laughing out loud, we both really enjoyed and it hasn’t got the credibility it deserves. I can’t believe Amy Schumer wrote this herself, she’s very talented and if she was to write another film as funny as this one I will be there to watch it sooner next time. There was so many famous actors in the film and some sports stars where acting probably isn’t the most natural, but you couldn’t tell one bit.
On the other hand, there was a lot of the “F” word in where it wasn’t needed but that was probably more to do with the personality of the character being played. If your one that easily gets offended as well, then this won’t be your cup of tea either. There’s a lot of mixed reviews on this film, so you could say it’s like marmite, it all depends on what your into, but i thoroughly enjoyed it.
My Film Rating: 10/10
