My Blogging Weight Loss Journey – Week 1

I would be lying if I said loosing weight is easy. It’s not. I’ve done numerous diets, including calorie counting, Juice Plus and Weight Watchers.  Which to some extent have worked, however I seem to reach a dead weight after some time. I never seem to get past that weight, which is rather frustrating. I said I didn’t want these posts to be negative posts, however I need to be honest with you. This week hasn’t been particular great for me. I really couldn’t feel more down about myself if I tried. I can’t tell you how many mornings I’ve cried in the past because I hate the way I look. How many times I’ve decided not to go out, and instead stayed at home, because I’m embarrassed, and how many times I’ve put off going to places, because I simply can’t find anything to wear. It makes me sad.

How did I get to this point?

Luckily though this is something that WE can fix. We CAN turn this around. We DO need to love ourselves. THIS doesn’t have to be permanent.


Now’s the time to start the journey. We can do this together and we will lose weight. It may be slow, and we might not be able to notice any change for a while. However slow weight loss, is good weight loss.

Starting with 5 inspirational quotes.

  1. When you feel like quitting, think about why you started.
  2. It took more than a day to put it on. It will take more than a day to take it off.
  3. I’m not loosing weight, I’m getting rid of it. I have no intention of finding it again.
  4. No matter how slow you go, you’re still lapping everybody on the couch.
  5. Imagine yourself 6 months from now. Don’t stop it will be worth it.

Week 1

I’ve not done as much exercise as I would of liked this last week, because ever since I’ve started running, my knees have become very painful! I have still been for a few walks though, which is better than nothing. After a long think, I have decided to quit Weight Watchers, which I’ve been doing for just over 4 months. I don’t think its a diet best suited for me. However I’m now going to join Slimming World, which seems much better, and I’ve been inspired by a few people to join. I am really looking forward to this. I did lose a 1lb this week, so better than nothing but it’s very hit and miss at the minute. As much as I am SOOO nervous, I think going to a Slimming World group is the right direction for me.

What to expect next Monday?

Next Monday I will have been to my first Slimming World meeting, so you can hear about that. I will have also been with Slimming World for 3 days, so not a great amount of time, however you can hear about what I ate and I will give you a recipe to try, if you wanted too, too, so it will be more like a diary. I probably won’t weight myself, because weigh in days are Thursdays, so that’s not a great amount of time, to see a difference. I shall let you know on how I did the week after.
