So Christmas is just around the corner and you may be thinking about what kind of advent calendar you want. Can anyone remember the days when Advent calendars use to just be chocolate? Now you can get all different types and there is some great ones for children as well, but I’m focusing on beauty today. All different price ranges, all different types ,l……….5,kltm4 (this is what my cat did when she decided to walk across the laptop, so I thought I’d just leave that in there) I’m not going to go on much longer, but what I will say is, I can’t decide which one I want to get, or If I’m going to get one at all. Last year I had a Yankee candle one, so I don’t know, there’s too much choice! In no particular order..
Bomb Cosmetics Countdown To Christmas and The Bomb Advent Calendar 2016
( Bomb Cosmetics Countdown To Christmas and The Bomb Advent Calendar 2016 – £19.99)
This is a good one if your someone who likes smellies, and winding down in the bath. I love the soaps as they are very colorful and bright, you won’t get that anywhere else and also you get little miniature bath bombs. You actually get 12 of each so £19.99 is a good price for what your getting here. Also a good advent calendar to get if you want a 24 door one, as Lush do one but its only a 12 day one.
Boots No7 Advent Calendar 2016
(Boots No7 Advent Calendar 2016 – £40)
This is really good value for money, you get £150 worth of products for just £40. I really love the rose gold case this comes in and the pretty detailing on the inside. Inside contains a selection of makeup and skincare, I don’t want to spoil too much for you but some of the products included are No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make-Up Remover 30ml, No7 Stay Perfect TM Eyeshadow Starry Lights 1.9g and No7 Lift & Curve Eyelash Curlers, plus 22 other products. You can view the full list on the Boots website, (linked under the picture) however you can’t buy this on there as it’s currently out of stock, so you need to be quick.
Decleor Advent Calendar 2016
(Decleor Advent Calendar 2016 – £60)
The one time I do a beauty advent calendar post, 2 out of the 3 calendars so far, are out of stock online haha. Don’t forget you can also go in store and try in there, it just shows how popular they are this year. I love the packaging of this, the gold flowers are divine. Decleor are a well known popular skincare brand and inside you are getting 2 full sized products, as well as 23 other smaller products, some of these include; 1000 Grain Body Exfoliator, Aromessence Iris and full size Hand Cream (50ml). This is worth £180, so basically 2 times more than what your paying, there’s no wonder these are sold out.
Selfridges L’Oreal Eclectic Little Luxuries Advent Calendar 2016
( Selfridges L’Oreal Eclectic Little Luxuries Advent Calendar 2016 – £95)
Another very popular advent calendar, its only been available for a matter of weeks and already a sell out online. I can’t find how much this is actually worth, but I can assure you its a lot more than what you paying. Products included are, Lancôme Hypnôse Volume-À-Porter 2ml, Lancôme Bi-Facil 30ml, Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate 4ml. There is both sample and full sized products within this calendar, including perfume. It also has 24 doors and I think the design is quite out there and different, not sticking with your usual gold and copper tones.
Charlotte’s World of Legendary Parties Advent Calendar
(Charlotte’s World of Legendary Parties Advent Calendar – £150)
Now this is one that is definitely in stock online, and its the calendar of dreams! It is only 12 days and some people are probably think it ought to be 24 at that price. It contains 7 travel sized products and 5 full size including, Full Size Eyes to Mesmerise: Marie Antoinette, Travel Size Mini Wonderglow® and Full Size Colour Chameleon: Black Diamonds. There is a nice variety included there for you. The design is just stunning and the theme is parties, so behind each door is something representing different party eras, which is a nice little added touch.
Technic Cube Beauty Advent Calendar 2016
(Technic Cube Beauty Advent Calendar 2016-£10)
A bargain if you ask me. 24 doors on this and as you can see, a wide selection of different makeup items and on the Superdrug website, 5 star reviews. Compact full of products and with a cute bauble design printed all over the box, its nice and girly. Whats there not to like? Products included are nail varnishes, blushers and lip glosses. A good one for a young teenager who’s just experimenting at the moment, and if you don’t want to spend a lot of money, or even for yourself. It was £20 but you can now get it for £10 at Superdrug.
M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2016
(M&S Beauty Advent Calendar 2016 – £250)
Bit of a rip off if you ask me, considering its worth £250 and pay £250 for it, however if you spend £35 in M&S, you can then buy this for £35, so it would basically cost you £70, which isn’t that bad considering you’ll be getting £250 worth of products. It includes 25 different products, some of them being body, hair, makeup and sun care including, Josh Wood Radiant Shine Hair Treatment Oil 28ml, Nails Inc Gel One Coat Nail Polish – Piccadilly Court 10ml and Skyn Iceland Icelandic Relief Eye Cream 5ml/0.169oz. A good selection of good quality products.
Clinique 24 Days of Clinique Advent Calendar
( Clinique 24 Days of Clinique Advent Calendar £65)
These are going to be very popular, if they aren’t already. You obviously get 24 products here including skincare and makeup, some of them being, Rinse-Off Foaming Cleanser 15ml, Take The Day Off™ Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips 30ml and Aromatics in White™ Perfume Spray 4ml. It’s great if you haven’t tried Clinique before and want to try some samples, to get to know the brand a bit more. How cute is the packaging as well? Very girly and keeps to the theme of Christmas with tiny little sweets. I do like the look of this one myself actually!
Clarins Advent Calendar 2016
( Clarins Advent Calendar 2016 – £95)
Wow! If you are wanting this I’d get down to your local Boots right now, yes that’s right get your keys and go! I can guarantee you this will sell out really quickly. Clarins is a brand very hot on the market right now and inside this advent calendar, you can grab yourself lots of skin care products, some of them being, Clarins Mini Blush Prodige 3g, Clarins Cleansing Milk 10ml and a selection of Clarins accessories. With 24 beautiful treats for your skin, this is perfect for party season.
Jo Malone London Townhouse Advent Calendar
( Jo Malone London Townhouse Advent Calendar – £280)
I love this so so much! Jo Malone is an amazing brand and inside you will get 24 beautiful products for your bath and home. Some of them being, Geranium & Walnut Body Scrub, Red Rose Cologne and Peony & Blush Suede Candle. An advent calendar of luxury, this won’t disappoint. Honestly if I could justify spending £280 on an advent calendar, then trust me I would, but I need a new Ted Baker bag now, as the leather around my handle is breaking, so that obviously comes first. The townhouse design though is elegant and simple, less in this case, is definitely more.
Tanya Burr 12 Days Of Christmas Advent Calendar
( Tanya Burr 12 Days Of Christmas Advent Calendar – £25)
I am very surprised this is in stock, but for the first time ever I think, Tanya Burr has brought out her very own advent calendar. Inside you will get 12 makeup treats, I’m just not quite sure how these work though, do you only open it every 2 days? You can expect to find lip glosses, eye shadow and a special addition nail polish, perfect for the Christmas party season. I am a massive fan of Tanya Burr’s and I think this is a gorgeous advent calendar, with a lovely design, the colour tones are perfect together, and helps create a luxury calendar for a small price.
The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar 2016
( The Body Shop 24 Happy Days Advent Calendar 2016 – £60)
This post wouldn’t be complete without an advent calendar from The Body Shop. As you can see your getting £106 worth of product for £60. Included in this is 24 products from makeup, skincare, body care and accessories ranges. What you can expect to see is Coconut Soap 100g, Eyeshadow Brush and Pink Grapefruit Hand Cream. I’m actually thinking of getting this one, as I love their products and their makeup brushes are really good quality, I have most of them in my collection. I also love that they don’t test on animals, so a great reason to go for this option.
That is it from me, I hope it’s helped you make your mind up, obviously there’s loads more out there, but I’ve rounded up the best ones.
Have any of you grabbed yourself any of these?
