I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR SO MUCH! A chance to get a sneak peak at what my house looks like, well my living room. I had bought all these decorations in November and it was an absolute killer waiting to put them all up. I got these all from a garden center near me actually, however I have seen duplicates on the internet, where I will leave all the links down below. If your one of those people who wait to put everything up 12 days before Christmas, then there’s still time to get these decorations, if you like the look of anything you see! There’s a lot here, so I’ll stop waffling and get on with it!
We’ll start with our table, you may notice in a lot of my blog’s pictures my table is the backdrop of a lot of them, but it makes such a good backdrop! I have this gold bowl in the center of the table, that I did fill up to the top with chocolates! As you can see my boyfriend has eaten most of them! Everyday I saw them vanish more and more, I felt like Mrs Trunchbull from the film Matilda, who couldn’t work out where her chocolates were going out of her box. I will fill it up again nearer the time! I love the gold detailing of this basket, and so does our kitten. She actually sleeps inside it, with the chocolates in it, and you can see all her fat poking through the holes!
(Here’s a not very good picture of Binky just chilling!)
I filled this copper basket up with tiny little baubles and some gold candle holders, with Yankee candle cranberry ice tealights. I also filled it with cinnamon scented pine cones. I don’t usually like the smell of cinnamon but this isn’t so overpowering, and although its fake, its nice to have a bit of nature in your home, there’s something really warming about it. Also if you haven’t guessed yet, the theme in my living room for Christmas is red and gold.
I then have my little snowman sitting there happily. He’s so cute, I couldn’t not get him and I also have a red glittery rocking horse. It was actually meant to be a Christmas decoration, I wish I had a tree that big! I just cut the string off and that’s why you can see the little hole haha. You can never have too much glitter when it comes to Christmas! I just realised my shelf looks wonky haha, but its just the angle I took the picture from.
Our fireplace is probably one of my favourite things about our living room. I’ve put our advent calendars on the top and yes my cat has one too! I also got this garland which I love, it has lots of pine cones and berries attached to it. We also got some fairy lights to wrap around it, just for that something a bit extra. I also purchased this “Merry Christmas” hanging decoration, again another one meant for your tree! When I get round to it, I’m going to stick our Christmas cards down either side of the fireplace.
I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting these! I love them so much and I don’t regret buying them one bit. It’s so cosy when you have all the lights off and everything is just glowing and the fire is on.
Another bit of glitter, with these festive stags! I just wish the one on the lefts head, was looking the other way! I also love this little canvas, that was a last minute find! Who says the magic has to end when you grow up?!
On the bottom shelf, I have another little garland with stars and tiny pone cones attached. I also added a few cinnamon ones too. One of my favourite purchases though, has got to be these set of reindeer tealights! Again I put some Yankee tealights inside the holders.
Then lastly this is our tree! (I forgot to turn the main light off, for a picture in the dark!) As you can see I have started wrapping, but also there are no decorations on the bottom, because our kitten keeps getting them. No word of a lie when we put them on the bottom as a test, every morning we woke up with a different decoration brought to us. I have no idea how she did it or how long it took her, because that’s two flights of stairs and I know how clumsy she is! Again a bit more glitter added! I’m not going to link the baubles because everyone has their own way of decorating their tree, it’s a bit more of a personal touch.

So that is it! I hope you enjoyed looking at my pictures and if you haven’t done it yet, maybe its making you tempted to put your decorations up!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
