Last night I went to watch the film that everybody has been patiently waiting for, and that everybody has been talking about. Men don’t be afraid to take your partners, you will not be the only man there. I was surprised at how many men were there, and how many much older people were there. The room was filled with all different people. The main thing which is probably on most people’s minds is, does it live up to the book, and is it as good as the first one? Well your about to find out….
Christian is back wounded, trying to entice Ana Steele back into his life. The only way she will go back though, is under a set of new rules made by her. Just as Ana begins to build her relationship and trust with Christian, a few figures from Christian’s past show up, which could destroy their hopes for a future together. Not to mention Ana’s new boss takes an interest in her. Can Christian contain his jealousy? Can their complicated relationship really work?
Fifty Shades Of Grey last time, I thought the book was better than the film. This time I think Fifty Shades Darker film, is much better than the book. For those who want to know, yes it was much more raunchier. It made you laugh, for example Mia, Christians sister, doesn’t know what to get him for his birthday, and she starts looking at colourful spotty ties. We all know that is soo not him! It was more believable, the relationship between Ana and Christian, you could really tell they loved eachother, it wasn’t so awkward like the first one, you could really see their love story unfold. All of the actors did an outstanding job, Kim Basinger, who plays Mrs Robinson, did a great job, and she was exactly how I pictured Mrs Robinson. Rita Ora, who had a bigger part to play this time, also did an amazing job, you weren’t sitting there thinking she’s a singer. Yes this time it was a lot like the book, but if they do miss things out, it’s nothing major. Just think, they have to cram in a whole books worth into 120mins of film, which may sound a lot, but it really isn’t. I will be watching this again.
What I didn’t like was that the (spoiler alert!) helicopter crash seemed a bit rushed. Which is fine they have to fit it in there somehow, otherwise people would be complaining, but I feel like we could of seen a bit more. Also the ending was good, but I felt, it could of been better. Which reminds me, stay till the end of the credits, because there is a sneaky peek of 50 Shades Freed, which comes out same time next year.
My Film Rating: It lived up to more than my expectations, 10/10
