Hey everyone, I’m a bit late with this one, actually 18 days late, but I always like reading posts and watching videos on what people got for their Birthday and Christmas, so I thought I’d share with you what I got for mine. I’m very thankful for all my lovely gifts and Birthday wishes that I recieved. I was in Scotland for my Birthday, and went to Edinburgh for the day, the only day out of our whole stay, where it decided to chuck it down with rain, and I mean it really went for it. Even though the weather was awful, it will be a birthday I will remember for many of reasons, it’s just a shame that I felt I never really saw Edinburgh because of how bad the weather is, but what I did see, was beautiful and I’d love to go back. Those of you that have me on Instagram as well, (amyminor95) will know that I have set myself a few goals to achieve by my next birthday, so I thought I’d also share them with you.
- To either have been on my first holiday abroad, or to have one booked.
- To set aside 3 evenings a week, to create fresh new content for my blog.
- To lose 3 stone, by having a healthier lifestyle when it comes to eating, and to come up with an exercise plan.
- To go back to London and see a show, because its been far too long!
- Read 12 books. I love reading, and a book a month, is a great way to get back into it again.
- Feel confident at driving again.
These are all goals that I know can be achieved, and which I’ve already started doing since I’ve been back from Scotland. I am already 3lbs off my first stone, so that is exciting, the only one right now I’m slightly worried about is the book one, but I know that once I get stuck into a book, I can never put it down, and finish it quite quickly! Anyways, here is what I got for my birthday!
Everyone seemed to have similar ideas in mind this year, as you will see my presents fall into the same few categories. Starting off with jewelry, I got this beautiful dainty necklace which I love and can’t wait to wear, and I also love how its silver. I love jewelry, as I feel like its more personal, because people are buying something they feel suits you and I just feel its really thoughtful. From my point of view, you can’t go wrong with jewelry!
I also received these two Pandora charms from separate people. I got my first bracelet last Christmas (I know, I was very late to the party!) and instantly fell in love with it, and because I love Disney so much, I’ve decided to keep all the charms Disney themed on it! I’ve not actually had to buy any charms myself yet, so I’m very lucky to have as many charms on it, as what I do already. For my birthday I got Pinocchio, which is the cutest thing. His legs and arms move, which is one of the things I love about Pandora is the detail that goes into the charms. I also got Jessie from Toy Story! I’ve just seen Toy Story 4 and its amazing! I was very excited to see that I got this charm, and it reminded me of the obsession I had with Toy Story, when I was younger, and how much it played a part in my childhood. I don’t know if this is something your interested in, but other Disney charms I have on my bracelet are Dumbo, a Mickey and Minnie mouse one, a Christmas Mickey mouse and a Minnie mouse.

Treatments was also another thing I was very very lucky and appreciative to receive. The first one is an eye package, which I’m excited about! I am especially looking forward to leaving my eyebrows to a professional to sort out, as my brows are not always on fleek. There are actually some really old posts of mine, where you can see what my eyebrows were like before I discovered how to apply makeup to them. I literally have no brows, its embarrassing! The other thing I got, was a full Spa day, and head, neck and back massage, which will be heaven. Although with my job, I get lots of knots in my back so they tend to focus more on getting them out, which is painful but nice at the same time, as you feel like you have a new back after. I can’t wait for that either!
Next, which was really fitting with one of my goals, that I hadn’t actually told anyone about is a full Adidas outfit. The fit is lovely and I love how soft the material is on my skin, because my skin can be quite sensitive. I’ve already been running in them, and the leggings don’t fall down or anything, so that is massive bonus points from me. I was also bought these very cute baby pink trainers. I surprised myself, because I am not a girly girl, but instantly love these and again, I’ve been running in them (when it’s dry) and love how they feel so lightweight on, and also they are quite spongy, so give your feet a lot of support!
Another gift that was really fitting with one of my goals was I got some books! One is Happy by Fearne Cotton, which I’ve had my eye on for a while now, but just something I never got round to getting. The other one is “Nine Perfect Strangers” by Liane Moriarty, who wrote “Big Little Lies”. It’s going to be a hard decision on what to choose to read next after the book I’m reading now. I absoloutely loved “Big Little Lies” and gutted that I can’t watch the second series, as it’s on Sky, but will do what I did last time, and buy it when it comes out on DVD. I also have heard nothing but good things about “Happy” so I have difficult decision. I’m not one of those that can read two books at the same time haha.
I also got some Ted Baker things. One being a shower gel, which is the only brand of shower gel I’ve used for the past year and a half. I love how fragranced it is, and how it really soaks into the skin. I also got these satin floral Pajamas, which I will apologize for the picture quality because it’s not great, but the material kept moving about really easily, so this was the best I could do. I love the design and colours on these pajamas and I’ve worn them since and they feel so nice on and very comfy to sleep in.
Lastly other bits I got were, some cat measuring cups from my little sister, because she knows how much I love to bake and they were super cute. All of the Hotel Transylvania’s because I absoloutely love them films, especially the third one, and I’m trying to build my collection up of kids films, because other than crime documentaries, they are my favourite thing to watch. I also recieved a box of Milk Tray, which I’m yet to delve into because I’m on a diet and although I could have a few, I’ve been saving everything for slices of birthday cake, so I’ll be moving on to them soon. I like Milk Tray though, because for me, I only need to eat like 2 or 3 and then I’m full, so this is good for me.
I’ve again been very spoilt this year, and I’m very grateful for everything I’ve recieved, I can’t wait to see what 24 has in store for me!
Have you set yourself some goals to achieve? If so, I’d love to hear about them!
