My Skincare Routine

Hello Everybody! That was quite formal wasn’t it? Haha! Thought I would do something a bit different today. I’ve done a lot of Grow posts in the last month, and as much as I will continue with that, I thought I would break it up a little bit, and do a skincare post, which I don’t think I’ve done before. Also I am super happy that I’ve managed to bring you an extra post this week!

I use the Vitamin E skincare range from The Body Shop and have done for years. I actually worked for The Body Shop At Home for a while and that’s when I discovered it. I never use to care about looking after my skin, I’ve always been lucky, have never suffered with spots or anything. However when I do get one, its bad I’m not going to lie, but I don’t know if that’s because I’m not use to getting them that much, so it’s more obvious to me. I’m not a skincare expert, so I could be using things wrong or using them in the wrong order, but this is just what I do, and it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft like a babies bottom. Also I want to mention that the range is very good value for money and a little goes a long way and will last you a long while. If you don’t want to spend a lot then I recommend getting the hydrating toner and the moisture cream, oh and definitely the face mist, its my favourite.

It’s worth mentioning that I have quite sensitive skin but this is suitable for all skin types and has never irritated mine. Another thing is I use The Body Shop’s cotton pads to take off my makeup, I don’t use a flannel or makeup wipes. The cotton pads are much softer on the skin, and much better for taking off makeup with too. All the products smell amazing, especially the face mist, it’s nothing too heavy, but really refreshing. It’s no wonder that this range is a best seller.

First things first, I use the Vitamin E Cream Cleanser and put a little bit on some cotton pads and wipe off my makeup. This has a real light, creamy texture, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. The reason I love this range so much, is because it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. I then use the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner. Some may say I don’t need to use this because I’ve just used the cleanser, or I should of used this before the toner, but it works for me doing it this way. Again I put a little bit of this on some cotton pads. It’s surprising how much makeup is still left on the skin when you use this that you can’t see.

This is when the magic really starts to happen, next step is the Vitamin E Moisture Cream. I absolutely love this because its not greasy at all and gives you 48hours moisture infusion. This is especially really good if you suffer with dry skin, as I’ll keep saying it, but its just so hydrating. It locks in moisture for all day hydration, so it’s a good one to use in the mornings to set you up for the day. Another thing I really like about this range, as most Body Shop products, is they like to use community trade ingredients where they can, which is just more of a good reason to buy from there. Lastly I use my favourite product ever, which is the Vitamin E Face mist. This smells amazing! I think it’s because it has rose water in it. I mean I use this to finish of my skincare routine, but I also use it to set my makeup too. It dries really fast and just gives your skin an instant pick me up. I would tell everyone to get this, as you won’t regret it.

I think the next few thing I want to try from the range is the lip care and the eye care, as the eye area is very delicate and needs some care. I might actually purchase these now haha. So that’s my skincare routine, its not particularly long, takes about half hour, but if you haven’t started a skincare routine yet, I would definitely recommend that you do, and this range is perfect for it, like I said it’s perfect for all skin types. Just do what I did, and buy one thing at a time, and then just keep adding to the collection, your skin will thank you for it. I’ll link what I’ve used down below!

I just want to say, us girls should not be afraid to show our faces natural without makeup. These pictures have zero filters on, its just me, and I’m really not bothered if people think I look rough, because guess what? I’ve not brushed my hair either haha. Makeup is something we should wear because we want to wear it, and because we enjoy the art of it, not because we feel like we have to hide the face underneath. We are all beautiful.

What are your skincare must haves?
